Yesterday I got done with class at 2:30. Jorge told me that he was going to go to Príncipe which is a discoteca. I was debating about whether or not to go and I didn't want to go if I had to pay. He said it was free, and I wasn't going to ask questions. Jorge said he was going to go around 6:30. Jokes on me because he called me at 6:15ish asking where I was and if I was still going to go. I decided to even thought I had class at 8:30, the next day. I rushed to change and find directions. I had a basic idea of where it was but I wasn't 100% sure.
I screenshot the map and ventured off into the grand streets and alleyways of Spain. Thank god for my Iphone, or else I'd have gotten lost so many times. On my way there, I saw a group of girls walking, and I sort of decided to just follow them because they were dressed like they were going to the same place I was so I put 2 and 2 together, and followed them. I was right about them, they brought me straight there, but I tried to be conspicuous and stare at my phone the entire time. Don't know if it worked, but didn't care.
When I got there, I called Jorge to see if he was there or not. He was inside and came out to find me. As soon as I walked inside I noticed it was smaller than Mae West and smaller than Camborio, but it was still a good size. The main room had a 2 bars, one on the right wall and another in the front corner. On the left side, there were stairs that led up to a second level. Straight ahead there were red curtains that were in the shape of an arch and you could see the DJ spinning on his turntable. The majority of the people who go to Príncipe are Spaniards, which I like.
Jorge, Carlos and Miguel were there. Andres I guess was in class. But he ended up coming later. Jorge told me that there was a blonde girl who he thinks was pretty and wanted me to go talk to her. I did. Her name is Celine and she's from Belgium. She lives with Auroria from Italy, and Jose Antonio from Cadiz. They all spoke English really well. Unfortunately for Jorge, Celine has a boyfriend but I still stayed to talk to them. They were cool and fun to talk to. They're Erasmus students but they study at the Pharmacy school, and Philosophy school. There was this really drunk Spanish guy in a navy shirt who thought I was Jordanian and spoke a little English and a little Italian. I also met one of Carlos's friends who's name I can't think of right now... but he was cool.
Jorge, Carlos and Miguel wanted to leave so I said bye to Celine, Aurora and Jose Antonio. We turned the corner, not even walking 20 feet, when we saw Andres. They had their smoke before we went back inside. When I saw Celine I said "just kidding, we didn't leave." And we all went inside to dance. Correction, first we filled up our drinks.
The weird drunk guy who never gave me his name came up to me and was being really hands on and weird. His friend in the green shirt however, was attractive and not wasted. NavyShirt said something like "who loves you?" and I didn't understand what he meant, even context clues couldn't help. His friend, GreenShirt, told me to say him. So I told NavyShirt that he did. And he was like "SIII" and then was like "un beso?" I was laughing for like 1 min, cause I didn't want to, and cause I was hoping he would leave. Psych! Then I said fine, because it would only be a peck, nothing more. And maybe he'd leave? Double PSYCH! Then he goes "un beso de amores?" I said "what?" And he wanted to make out, which wasn't happening. I told him hold on, and went up to Celine and told her to help me, cause I was not about to make out with this guy. He was cute, but I didn't want to.
Once we took care of that situation we went to go dance on the dancefloor. Correction: Celine took of her sandals, held them in her hand, and stumbled to the dancefloor, threw her empty cup on the ground and started dancing. She has long blonde hair, and she whipped her hair around. I'm sure if I had been drinking more, it would've been even more fun. Jorge found me, and I ended up dancing with him a little. Not like grinding, more as regular people dancing. He tried to show me how to dance to something, but I had no idea what I was supposed to do. Earlier he told me that I was moving, but after 2 drinks, I loosened up my muscles. Not even tipsy, but just enjoying the moment. So when he found me he was like "oh, now you dance?!" But whatevaaah!
We left at about 9:45, 10ish. There was a restaurant that was having 2 hamburgers for the price of 1. First I had to stop by the ATM. They thought I was leading them in a circle or some shit, but I knew where the ATM was. After that, we walked to the place, which I have no idea what it's called. On the way there, I was walking arm in arm with Andres. Until he did the "saved your life" thing where someone pushes you but pulls you back. He scared the shit out of me because it was with a car. My heart stopped, I swear.
We got to the restaurant and had to wait a little since it was full. About 5 minutes later we got to sit. The waiter was attractive though. I told Jorge, and he told me to say something, but hell no. What do you even say? I don't know. When we got our food the hamburger was alright, I finished mine second out of the four of us: Andres, Carlos, Jorge and me. I was hungry though, so whatever man! After we ate, we said bye to Carlos and headed back. I had no idea where I was because I've never been on that side of Granada. After a little, we said bye to Andres, and it was just me and Jorge. My homie! He had to give me directions home but they only required 2 steps. However, my night was not over.
Discover Excursions was in Granada! Well only 2 of the guides, 3 technically, but 2 that I knew. They were having free beer at Café Manila. It started at 10:30, but hey, at least I showed up. I told Ben I was going to be there too. Ben and I have actually become good friends since Portugal, which I'm glad. The cafe is on the street I live on, so it wasn't like I was going out of my way, just had to walk 2 extra minutes.
I got there at about 12. There was still a lot of people. Nito and Benni were the guides that I knew, and the other was a girl name Julia, I think. Don't quote me on that. I saw Nito and talked to him, and I talked to Taylor too. Taylor is one of the girls who hangs out with "Regina" a lot, but Taylor is actually cool, and not a "mean girl" like initially thought. The first time we talked, she gave me a hug and said bye, and then ever since then she comes talk to me, which I've officially decided she cool. Ya know?
I asked Nito about Joe, because Joe told me that there was an issue when he went to Portugal the weekend before I did. It's too much to type out, but basically he was drunk and got into trouble, of course. Nito gave me more details though. And I talked to Benni too, he gave me a big hug when he saw me, which uhh hello, who wouldn't be happy about that. An attractive man with a British accent gives you a hug? You DO NOT say no to that! Unfortunately, Ignacio didn't come. Benni told me that they had to rock, paper, scissors, to see who got to come. I told him I was glad he came. Benni, clearly got called away by some girls but whatever, he'd come back to me later. I went back to talking to Nito and Taylor. Time went by and it was 1, and I had to leave since I had class at 8:30, and I still wanted to sleep. I said bye to them all, and Benni gave me a big hug, and I told him I'd text him on Whatsapp. Which I still have to do.
There's an opportunity to win a free trip to Morocco with the Discover Excursions and I want to go!! Especially if it's for free. Like hell yeah!!! You have to upload pictures on Instagram and use the hashtag "free trip hell yeah." So if you see my posts on Instagram, don't unfollow me. It's for a good cause!
With love,
TIZ
