Last day in Belgium!

Woohoo! Today is the day. Technically the day before the day, but it still counts!! It's my last day in Belgium! Tomorrow at precisely 9:50 I will be off to Italy!!
Oh I'm so excited. I can't wait. My dream for the past 5 years has been to go to Italy. And it's finally here! Thankfully to the say that this is the second to last time I have to organize my large suitcase and play Tetris with all the clothes and shoes. I am excited to leave.
I still remember Granada like it was just yesterday. Lately I've been afraid that Florence won't be as fun as Granada, but then I realized that I shouldn't compare the two because it's an extension, a continuation of my year. There will be differences and similarities, but it's the differences that will make it an experience to remember. This whole year combined will be one that I will look back on in the years to come. And I don't want any sad memories. So I'm going in head held high and a smile on my face, awaiting the adventures.
Now if only I could figure out what to wear...

The day in Brugge

Brugge is known as "the Venice of the north" in Belgium. It's sort of a mini Venice I'd say. I went with the next door neighbor. They have 2 sons. One is 30, and the other is 19. Unfortunately the one my age wasn't able to go, and he was the cuter of the two. So I went on a trip with the older one.
The ride there was a little quiet but I don't mind silence. I hate when people try to fill in silence with nonsense and stupidity. If you isn't have anything beneficial to say, and fun facts don't count, just don't say anything. It's better.
But here are aome pictures from Bruges.

Pinning for the Gold

Today, I went on to Pinterest and I'm not ashamed to say that I spent just about the entire day on the website happily pinning away. I added to my "For the Home" board, "Travel", "Awesome Things," and my ultimate favorite "Craft Ideas."
I found some pretty cool stuff that if I were back home in the States, I would have automatically started to work on.
For example, everyone who knows me knows that I love stripes and polka dots. And I found these pretty great DIYs:

Belgium

I'm currently in Belgium right now and will be until the 29th of January.
  How did I get here?

With this baby! EUROLINES!! Let's you cross borders all throughout Europe. I left from Paris with a destination of Brussels.
The bus took 4 and half hours. In Brussels I took a train to Nivelles. That was a bit of a hassle. Having a huge suitcase and a mini one and a backpack. The big one sort of fell over while I tried to get on the train. No one helped me. How rude! Ugh.. There's this skinny girl with a big suitcase and you can tell my hands are full but no one helped. I hate people.
However, an old couple did help me take my suitcase off of the train. And some other guy helped me down the stairs and back up so that was nice. It's good to know that there are some angles among these devilish people on earth. Kidding!!

So I waited for my moms cousin to come get me and when she finally did, I made myself at home in the guest room. There is wifi thank god, but it was down Thursday night and didn't get fixed until Tuesday.
My cousin took me to Brussels my second day though. She had my close my eyes until she brought me to the Grand Place. I looked up, and was taken aback because of how beautiful it was. No pictures could capture it!

  Saw a Tintin mural!

  And Le manekin pis!!

And 6 colors of the manekin pis.

The brother of the lady I'm staying with lives in Brussels but he's in Algeria and is staying there the entire time that I'm here. Which sucks!! I saw him in Algeria too.
Ideally I would like to stay in Brussels for one or 2 nights and go partying there. But I don't know anyone here who is my age. The daughter of the lady is 13 so it's not like she can go partying in Brussels. And like I said, I know no one. I wish I could meet people my age. Especially since I'm here for 3 weeks.
Not to mention I'm currently limited on cash since I never went to the ATM before leaving Paris. So I'd have to find a Barclays ATM in Brussels and I need wifi which is down until Tuesday. And it doesn't help that the mom keeps telling me I should to I Brussels for the day and I just want to be like "I DONT HAVE MONEY!" But I can't so I just say maybe and then don't do anything.
Here's to finding something to do for the next 2 days until the wifi is back on. May Jesus help me in my time of need.
