How did I get here?
With this baby! EUROLINES!! Let's you cross borders all throughout Europe. I left from Paris with a destination of Brussels.
The bus took 4 and half hours. In Brussels I took a train to Nivelles. That was a bit of a hassle. Having a huge suitcase and a mini one and a backpack. The big one sort of fell over while I tried to get on the train. No one helped me. How rude! Ugh.. There's this skinny girl with a big suitcase and you can tell my hands are full but no one helped. I hate people.
However, an old couple did help me take my suitcase off of the train. And some other guy helped me down the stairs and back up so that was nice. It's good to know that there are some angles among these devilish people on earth. Kidding!!
So I waited for my moms cousin to come get me and when she finally did, I made myself at home in the guest room. There is wifi thank god, but it was down Thursday night and didn't get fixed until Tuesday.
My cousin took me to Brussels my second day though. She had my close my eyes until she brought me to the Grand Place. I looked up, and was taken aback because of how beautiful it was. No pictures could capture it!
Saw a Tintin mural!
And Le manekin pis!!
And 6 colors of the manekin pis.
The brother of the lady I'm staying with lives in Brussels but he's in Algeria and is staying there the entire time that I'm here. Which sucks!! I saw him in Algeria too.
Ideally I would like to stay in Brussels for one or 2 nights and go partying there. But I don't know anyone here who is my age. The daughter of the lady is 13 so it's not like she can go partying in Brussels. And like I said, I know no one. I wish I could meet people my age. Especially since I'm here for 3 weeks.
Not to mention I'm currently limited on cash since I never went to the ATM before leaving Paris. So I'd have to find a Barclays ATM in Brussels and I need wifi which is down until Tuesday. And it doesn't help that the mom keeps telling me I should to I Brussels for the day and I just want to be like "I DONT HAVE MONEY!" But I can't so I just say maybe and then don't do anything.
Here's to finding something to do for the next 2 days until the wifi is back on. May Jesus help me in my time of need.
