Sabrina's phone went off in the morning so I woke up and couldn't go back to sleep. I tried but I felt like it was 12 since my phone died and I couldn't check it. When I finally got out of bed, my Spanish phone said it was 10:19. I felt better about my life and the day,
I got up and started to read "el amante bilingüe." It wasn't long until sabrina woke up and she have me tea and a brioche to eat. We talked some more and then Emmanuel woke up. They are super cool. Sabrina let me charge my phone using her laptop again. For some reason my phone took forever to charge. When it was finally done I headed to Sacré Cœur since it was about a 4 minute walk from the apartment.
I don't think you understand that it was cold and raining the entire weekend by the way.
I took a walk through Place des Tetres, where there are a shit ton of artists and even though it was raining there were still a a couple dozen. I walked in and out if souvenir shops to see what they had but I wasn't interested in buying anything else really. More for the heat.
I went back to the apartment to see isf Elisa wanted to meet or not and she said yes. The walk was about 50 minutes and so I left to meet her.
Once I got to what I thought was the meeting point, I started looking for Elisa. 10 minutes go by, 20 minutes go by and I start wondering where she is. I open up my whatsapp and look to make sure I wasn't early. That wasn't the case. We said we'd meet at Place de La Concorde, and I was a block away, at Le Grand Palais! Not just a block, a Paris block, which is about 4 or 5 regular blocks. I found a stranger and used his phone to call her and made sure she was still there and I dipped!
I was crossing the street when someone grabbed me and it was Elisa. I almost walked right by her. I apologized over and over and told her I thought we said Le Grand Palais. At least I didn't get lost though, I was learning!
We walked over to Le Petit Palais, which is directly across from Le Grand Palais.
As usual, I put my life ind anger to get a picture.
I didn't even want to go inside Le Petit Palais, I just wanted pictures of it because it's so beautiful.
Elisa and I then walked down Champs Élysées. She wanted to return something to h&m and I wanted to see l'Arc de Triomphe so it worked out perfectly. So many stores and so many people!!! I thought Spaniards didn't know how to walk, but no no no. The French are the worst. They don't even move! I'm not kidding, this lady literally bumped into me and didn't say anything. Like, excuse you?! Did you not see me? Cause I know you did! Then I did a test, and didn't move when I was walking and this other girl and I were about to bump into each other when she moved last second. Then, I knew there was hope.
Elisa and I passed the Peugeot store and walked inside to see what all the commotion was about. Just a duper fancy sports car, no big deal! But this baby was sweet!
We finally got to l'Arc de Triomphe after returning Elisa's purchase to h&m.
I remembered they Megan Yee and my sister had told me to go to Ladurée on Champs Élysées. We went to it, but the line was too long. I asked these girls who were walking out how long the line was. They said that there was the line outside and then there was another line inside. And then I just said nope, not waiting. Besides, I'm going back in January, so it'll be fine.
Elisa and I walked back to Place de la Concorde Where we said put goodbyes and I thanked her for showing me around. She left to take the metro and I walked back. I decided to only stay on major streets so I wouldn't get kidnapped.
(Look at the Eiffel Tower in the back!)
On the way, I passed Le Palais Garnier, and an awesomely lit up buding that for some reason I didn't take a picture of. But here's some of the street and the French opera house.
