Le Louvre

The Louvre! So many pictures it needed it's on post.

Because it was raining the line was super short, within 2 minutes we had entered. I took some picture from inside too.

We looked at the different signs and decided where to start. I absolutely wanted to see the sculptures so we started there. I was told that I could use my CLM card to get in for free but then someone else told me that I have to be an EU citizen. I was worried that the guy would say I had to I wait in line to get a ticket. But he didn't! I got in for free!!!  So we headed off to the sculptures and I was stoked!!!

So I kind if fell in love with this ceiling. Just look at all the freaking detail in the molding!!!

  Then the paintings started.

After I took this picture there were some old Spanish ladies who were trying to find the exit. They asked if I knew and I said "como?" And then I heard one of the talking in Spanish, so I put my Spanish shoes and started talking to them. I even dropped my s's and d's like a real Andalucian. Afterwards, Eliza teas looking at me funny and I asked her what was wrong. She asked where I learned to talk like that, and I didn't understand what she meant. She said I sounded like a real Spaniard. That definitely upped my spirits about my Spanish pronunciation.
  Back to pictures though!

It was already night out!!! Eliza and I took a short trip to Ile saint-Louis.
  We stopped by Notre Dame.

Eliza and I walked by this church and she asked if we could go inside. I said yeah, definitely. It was one of the most intimidating churches I have ever been in. The atmosphere inside just felt so surreal. I don't even know how to describe it, as of so many people had been in there and prayed. I felt like I didn't belong.

Eliza and I then went our separate ways. I walked back the same way I had came. My feet starting hurting and I really just wanted to sit and eat dinner.
I took a right on Bd Poissonnière and started walking. I saw a waiter setting up the chairs outside. I asked him in English "do you speak English" and he said yes. I asked if he knew of a good restaurant and he told me that that restaurant has good food. I chuckled because of course he'd say that. He told me to look at the menu. It looked appetizing, so I said "okay, I'll trust you." He laughed and sat me down inside.
I ordered salmon with kale. While waiting for the food, I sat and sipped on my apple juice and ate some olives. The waiter was walking by and we made eye contact so I asked him in French 'how long have you been working here?' The first thing he said was 'ah? You speak French?' And I laughed and said yes. I totally tricked him earlier haha.
My food finally came and it looked so good.

I had no idea what kale tasted like but it was good with the sauce from the fish. That yellow thing in the corner was full of vegetables inside and it was delicious!!! And the salmon was so good too.
For dessert, I ordered the 'fondant au chocolat.'

The vanilla ice cream was delicious and the chocolate fondant was amazeballs!!! I'm not kidding. Perfection! With all that chocolate, I ate it slowly. And when I got the middle, and the chocolate starting pourin out... Oh! I'm not lying, I had like a chocolate orgasm it was so good. Every spoonful brought so much happy emotions! I want more just thinking about it. The total of my dinner was 28,10€.
With my stomach full, I headed back home. One day I was watching the French news with my dad and they showed people roller blading in France and it was a huge group of people. All of a sudden I heard this noise getting louder and louder.. IT WAS THEM! The rollerbladers! I whipped out my phone and snapped some pics.

There were tons of them and they were all going so fast!! Apparently they do it every Friday. They have a meeting point at 9pm and roller blade around Paris. Normally there's a bigger group but they had a good number of people that night. There were a couple police officers who stay behind to make sure nothing bad happens.
After that, I took a detour to go see Moulin Rouge. It's on Rue Pigalle. That entire street.. Is full of sex stores, and peep shows and strip clubs. All I wanted was to see Moulin Rouge. I got there safely, with no issues.

On my walk back to Rue Martyrs, and on my way up I heard this guy and this girl talking in Berber. I don't remember what they said but I turned around and laughed, then they told me to come talk to them. They were super nice.  We were outside of a bar that had live music and we were just talking. I spent about an hour talking with them. The girl, Bahia, said she was going to go home and she lived in my direction so I left too. I told Morad it was nice to meet him and hopefully I'd see him again.
I ended up going to Bahia's place with her and we talked for about an hour and a half. It was fun. I thought she was in her 20s but she's 34 and has a 9 year old daughter. She showed me a picture of her. We talked about a lot of things. It was nice to talk in Berber again and she seems so young. Plus she's short so that makes sense.
That was the end to my first day in Paris!! Great food and great company!
